Created From Real-World Practice

Behaviour Help App was born from my own experience as a Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner.

Working with families, services, schools and organisations, I repeatedly encountered the same challenges. Functional Behaviour Assessments, Positive Behaviour Support Plans, incident reports, behaviour data and progress monitoring were often completed across multiple disconnected systems. As a practitioner, I spent countless hours duplicating information, manually transferring data between documents, and writing lengthy reports instead of spending time with the people I was supporting.

I knew there had to be a better way.

Behaviour Help App was created to streamline the entire Positive Behaviour Support process—from assessment through to intervention, monitoring and review. Rather than replacing professional judgement, it was designed to support practitioners by reducing administrative burden, improving consistency, and bringing every stage of the Positive Behaviour Support process together within one secure platform.

At the heart of Behaviour Help App is one purpose: to give anyone supporting individuals with behaviours of concern more time to do what matters most—understanding behaviour, providing effective support, and improving quality of life.

Today, Behaviour Help App supports NDIS Registered Behaviour Support Practitioners, Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs), psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, teachers, educators, disability support providers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-informed, person-centred Positive Behaviour Support - in Australia and worldwide.

Behaviour Support, Explained

Four terms at the heart of the Behaviour Help App - in plain language.

What Is a Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA)?

A structured process for understanding why behaviours of concern occur: gathering information, recording behaviour data such as ABC incidents, frequency, intensity and duration, identifying contributing factors and patterns, and developing evidence-informed hypotheses about the function of behaviour.

What Is Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)?

A person-centred, evidence-informed approach that seeks to understand the reasons behind behaviours of concern, improve quality of life, change environments and supports, and build meaningful skills - rather than simply reacting to behaviour.

What Is a Behaviour Support Plan (BSP)?

A documented plan, informed by assessment, that describes proactive and preventive strategies, skill development, stages of escalation with corresponding management strategies, and how progress will be monitored and reviewed.

What Is Behaviour Data Collection?

Recording structured information about behaviour - what happened before, during and after (ABC), how often (frequency), how strong (intensity) and how long (duration) - so decisions are based on evidence rather than impressions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about the Behaviour Help App.

What is Behaviour Help?
Behaviour Help is a secure, end-to-end Functional Behaviour Assessment and Positive Behaviour Support platform. It supports the complete workflow: assessment, behaviour data collection, Behaviour Support and Prevention Plans, monitoring and review - in one place instead of disconnected documents and spreadsheets.
Who is Behaviour Help for?
NDIS Registered Behaviour Support Practitioners, Behaviour Analysts/BCBAs, psychologists, allied health professionals, mental health professionals, educators, schools and service providers - from independent practitioners to large organisations.
Can I try the platform before purchasing?
Yes. Book a free demo and see the complete workflow - assessment, behaviour data, planning and review - before you subscribe.
Does Behaviour Help include behaviour data collection?
Yes. Structured ABC incident recording plus frequency, intensity and duration data are built in, and the app turns your data into graphs and analysis automatically.
Does Behaviour Help write the FBA or Positive Behaviour Support Plan for me?
No. AI-assisted features help you organise, synthesise and draft information from the evidence in your account - but you remain in control at every step. You review, refine and approve everything. Professional judgement always.
How does the AI work in Behaviour Help?
AI supports information organisation, Functional Behaviour Assessment and Behaviour Support Plan documentation - including extracting information from reports you upload. Practitioners remain responsible for reviewing, refining and approving all outputs. Data is never sold, shared or used to train external AI systems.
Can I use Behaviour Help as a sole practitioner?
Yes. The platform works for independent practitioners as well as teams and large providers - you choose the number of individuals you support and manage them from one account.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Behaviour Help is independently assessed against SOC 2 Type II, certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and aligned with GDPR principles. Personal information is never sold, shared with third parties, or used to train external AI systems.
Can Behaviour Help be used by organisations?
Yes. From independent practitioners to large providers, organisations use Behaviour Help to keep behaviour support consistent, secure and reviewable across their teams. Up to 100 individual subscriptions can be managed within a single account.
How much does Behaviour Help cost?
AU$195 per individual per year, GST included - a simple annual subscription with no hidden fees and no complicated tiers. Each subscription provides a folder for one individual for 12 months.
What is a Functional Behaviour Assessment tool?
A functional behaviour assessment tool is software or a structured resource that helps practitioners complete FBAs consistently. The Behaviour Help App is a guided FBA tool: it walks through the individual profile, ABC incident recording, frequency, intensity and duration data, contributing factors and evidence-informed hypothesis development - then links the assessment directly to the plans.
Does the Behaviour Help App replace Functional Behaviour Assessment templates?
Yes. Instead of starting from a blank template or Word document, the app guides each Functional Behaviour Assessment step by step and turns the assessment into evidence-linked Behaviour Support and Prevention Plans that you review, edit, save and export. The same applies to Positive Behaviour Support Plan templates - the plan is built from your assessment and data rather than a blank document.
Can the Behaviour Help App be used for NDIS positive behaviour support?
Yes. It is designed for NDIS Registered Behaviour Support Practitioners and supports the workflow behind NDIS positive behaviour support: Functional Behaviour Assessment, behaviour data collection, interim and comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans, monitoring and review. The practitioner remains responsible for all clinical decisions.
How do you record incidents of behaviour in the Behaviour Help App?
Using structured ABC incident recording - a digital ABC behaviour chart capturing what happened before, during and after the behaviour - alongside frequency, intensity and duration data. Incidents build into graphs and analysis, so patterns and contributing factors can be identified and reviewed over time.
Does the Behaviour Help App support Applied Behaviour Analysis?
Behaviour Analysts and ABA practitioners use the app for structured ABC data collection, frequency, intensity and duration recording, hypothesis development and function-based planning. It complements the practitioner's own analytic approach rather than replacing it.
How long does a Functional Behaviour Assessment take?
It depends on the complexity of the situation and the information available. In Australian practice, a Functional Behaviour Assessment commonly takes between two and six weeks, allowing time for interviews, record reviews, observations and enough behaviour data to identify reliable patterns. The Behaviour Help App reduces the documentation time by organising the information as you gather it and linking it directly to the assessment.
What is the difference between an interim and a comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan?
An interim Behaviour Support Plan sets out immediate strategies to keep the person and those around them safe, and where regulated restrictive practices are involved it is generally required within one month of engagement. A comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan follows within six months and is built on a full Functional Behaviour Assessment. The Behaviour Help App supports both, and carries the assessment findings directly into the comprehensive plan.
Who can write a Behaviour Support Plan under the NDIS?
Under the NDIS, Behaviour Support Plans are developed by behaviour support practitioners the NDIS Commission considers suitable. Where a plan contains, or may contain, regulated restrictive practices, it must be developed through a registered specialist behaviour support provider. The Behaviour Help App was built by an NDIS Registered Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner and supports suitable practitioners through every stage of developing their plans.
How do you know whether a Behaviour Support Plan is working?
By monitoring behaviour data after the plan is implemented: whether behaviours of concern are changing in frequency, intensity or duration, whether replacement skills are increasing, and whether quality of life is improving. Because the Behaviour Help App collects behaviour data against the plan and shows the trends over time, reviews are based on evidence rather than impressions, and the plan can be refined as the data comes in.
Does Behaviour Help work across home, school and community settings?
Yes. The same live assessment, behaviour data and plans travel with the individual across home, school, community, day programs, in-home support, residential settings and therapy services - so everyone supporting the person responds consistently.
